SCIMUN 2025

SCIMUN'25 brought together 24 teams from across the country for an unforgettable experience filled with vibrant debates, insightful discussions, and immersive cultural experiences. Delegates engaged in thought-provoking committee sessions on a wide range of global issues, including investigative journalism at ICIJ, the impact of illicit drugs on public health at UNODC, child soldier recruitment at UNICEF, health disparities and pharmaceutical ethics at WHO, AI risks at MEBDC, India’s taxation system at Lok Sabha, femicide at UN Women, and UNSC membership reforms.
After two days of intense deliberations, the delegates were given a moment of respite with a visit to the Fort Biosphere, where they learned about the school’s commitment to environmental preservation. They then unwound at the “Harmony: Masquerade” themed party, a magical evening filled with music, dancing, and camaraderie. The night continued with the Midnight Crisis, where delegates delivered speeches on the theme "The Border That Never Existed."
On Day 3, the sessions resumed with renewed energy as delegates pushed for resolutions that reflected their dedication. The event culminated in a grand closing ceremony, attended by distinguished guests such as Dr. Navneet Mohan Kothari, an IAS officer, and Mr. Mahesh Gandhi. A presentation on the Fort Biosphere and an inspiring speech by Principal Mr. Ajay Singh set the tone for the awards ceremony. St. Xavier’s School was awarded the Best Delegation for their outstanding performance. The MUN Coordinator, Dr. Ruchira G. Chawla delivered the vote of thanks, and the Deputy-Secretary General, Suraj Kumar Agarwalla, officially declared the event closed, marking the end of a successful and enriching SCIMUN’25.
