National Sports Day is celebrated annually in India on August 29 to commemorate the birth anniversary of legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand. The day was celebrated in the school by honouring the memory of the hockey wizard with a hockey match between the teachers and the students. It was an intensely fought match. The teachers' team scored a goal in the last minute and hence won the match by 1-0.
