Labour Camp at Snehalaya

From 24th to 27th October 2024, 33 students of Class 9 and five teachers participated in a labour camp at Snehalaya. The program began with an orientation featuring a documentary and a campus visit, followed by interactions with alumnus Mr. Rajeev Kumar Singh and engaging sports activities. Students toured the Snehalaya English Medium School, visited a center for the disabled, and observed entrepreneurial initiatives like slipper manufacturing. Environmental awareness was promoted through tree plantations, while visits to the Cavalry Tank Museum and Chand Bibi Tomb provided insights into history and local culture. The team interacted with children at Snehankur Adoption Center and prepared hygiene kits and edible items for the community. They attended a mental health awareness session, a workshop on architecture, and a study-abroad guidance session. The camp concluded with a motivational address by Snehalaya’s founder, Mr. Girish Kulkarni, and a closing ceremony which featured performances by the students also. The experience fostered empathy, teamwork, and a commitment to service.
