Celebration of National Sports Day

The National Sports Day was celebrated in the school on 29 August 2020 with due precautions and social distancing. The day marks the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, the legendary sports player, who has been honoured with India's third highest civilian honour of Padma Bhushan in 1956. The Vice Principal, Ms Smita Chaurvedi paid a floral tribute to the legendary player. The event was attended by The Dean of Co-curricular Activities, Mr Dhirendra Sharma, the representative teaching fraternity, and the Sports Coaches. Dr Smita Trivedi welcomed the fraternity on the eve of the celebration of the National Sports Day in the Assembly Hall at 4.30 pm and apprised the audience of the contribution of the legendary Sports Player and lesser known facts about his life. After this, the event was brought to a close.
