The Scindia School celebrated the 75th Republic Day of the Nation on Friday, 26th of January 2024, with great vigour and gusto. The celebration began with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Mr Kirti Arora (Ex- Je, 1974), an eminent Old Boy, who unfurled the tricolour and inspected the smartly turned out contingent of the parade. An accomplished Old Boy, Colonel Arvind Jha also addressed the audience. The squad was led by the Old Boys of the Batch of 1974, who were on the Fort to celebrate their Golden Jubilee Reunion. The Principal, Mr Ajay Singh welcomed the fraternity and said the momentous occasion is a befitting reminder of our rights and responsibilities. He also talked about living the four powerful words- Justice, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity, which are embodied in our constitution. The Chief Guest, Mr Kirti Arora was delighted to be a part of the grand celebration and complimented the boys for their performance. He mentioned that Scindia lets you acquire all the skill -sets to navigate through life and chisels your character. The formal ceremonies of the day were followed by the community gathering at Astachal; the spiritual centre of the School, where floral tributes were paid to Mahatma Gandhi. We revisited the ideologies of the sung and unsung heroes of our great nation. The Deputy Senior School Prefect, Aaradhy Shiv Shukla extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest and the batch of1974. The English and Hindi prose pieces were read out followed by a soulful bhajan. Mr Devendra Bhatnagar (Ex- Ja, 1974) addressed the audience and recited a beautiful poem titled ‘Astachal’. Thereafter, the members of staff, Old Boys and the Prefectorial Body enjoyed an informal interaction over a three course breakfast at the Principal’s residence. The Social Service League also organised Shramjivee Sports at the Oval Field.
