TEDx Talk Event

On 25th January, the school added a new milestone by launching the TEDx Talk event for the first time in its history, hosted by the Scindia Old Boys Association (SOBA). The event embodied the concept of "ideas worth spreading," providing a platform for distinguished speakers from various walks of life to share invaluable insights based on their learning and expertise.
A stellar lineup of speakers captivated the audience with their breakthrough stories, enlightening and enriching them with diverse perspectives. Global leaders in the banking sector and entrepreneurs, including Rohit Sipahi Malani—an ex-Jayaji himself—emphasized the importance of setting self-benchmarks in a challenging and competitive world to achieve success in specific fields.
Next, Vicky Roy’s awe-inspiring journey from rags to riches as an internationally acclaimed photographer held everyone’s attention, while Mr. Amit Ashar, a renowned celebrity photographer, fondly recalled how a teacher at this very school first instilled in him the idea of what he would eventually become.
Ms. Manjari Chaturvedi, a veteran choreographer and pioneer of Sufi-Kathak—a dance form crafted by her creative imagination—brought to life the struggles and journeys of female dancers in India from the medieval period to the present day.
Mr. Sachin Jha, an ex-Ranoji, technocrat, author, and lawyer, engaged the audience with his insights on technology. Mr. Harshvardhan Dhanwate, an ex-Shivaji, shared his inspiring journey of creating awareness about tiger conservation.
Mr. Wanchoo (Batch of 1969) interpreted how Gandhian principles of non-violence remain relevant in today’s global landscape as a means to restore peace and harmony in turbulent times. Mr. Sidhi Vinayak Singh (Batch of 2013), a strategic consultant, social worker, and artist, expressed his thoughts on how individuals can become changemakers in society.
Among the young speakers, Ayaan Chintan Shah (Class XI) delivered a compelling talk on how a paradigm shift from "I don’t care" to "I care" can transform our lives and surroundings. Finally, Ishan Chokani (Class XI), an ambassador of Fort Biosphere, presented a discourse on preserving native plants on the fort, promoting waste reuse and recycling, and implementing water conservation techniques for sustainable living.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the Principal, Mr. Ajay Singh, marking the end of an inspiring and thought-provoking session.
