19 October 2015
The School has been in the grip of Founders fever since the beginning of October but the excitement has now reached its climax. The exhibitions have been set up and the volunteers trained to perfection. Monday, 19th October saw the final round of exhibition by the Principal and the final rehearsal of the cultural evening. Whatever creases remained have now been smoothened out and the school is set to welcome all its guests. The newly renovated academic Block, Dining Hall and all other places present a beautiful welcoming look. The manicured gardens and the decorative lights are further enhancing the festive mood and the splendour of the Fort. With the cafe operational and various mouthwatering delicacies on offer the boys can be seen indulging in gastronomic delights with absolute abandon. The Old boys have already started flocking the school in large numbers and all through the day they could be seen visiting their Houses, reuniting with their Batchmates, reliving the good old days and sharing their stories with the present students. In the afternoon the Batch of 1990, which celebrates its Silver Jubilee Reunion, played a football match with the present boys. This was followed by another match between the Batch of 2005 and the present Boys. The entire school had gathered to witness the same and cheer for the Scindians, irrespective of which Batch they represented. The match was won by the present students however everyone appreciated the spirit and energy of the Old Boys. A special astachal had been organised in the evening for the Old Boys specially the Classes of 1975,1990,1995 and 2005. The alumni were welcomed by the Deputy Senior School Prefect, Akash Jaini and the Music Department put up a musical evening. On behalf of all the Old Boys some members shared their joy at coming back and also their gratitude at the warm reception accorded to them. Amidst all this celebration hectic preparations are also on for the Parent teacher Meeting which is scheduled for the 20th of October. The venues have been set up, report cards and remarks sheets have been duly prepared and the ushers briefed about their responsibilities. click here to see more photographs.
