Ek Aur Dronacharya

On the evening of 25th April, 2025, the Shukla Memorial Open Air Theater came alive with the play presented by the Hindi Department- “Ek Aur Dronacharya", a gripping play by Shankar Shesh that mirrors the struggles of today’s teachers, caught between principles and pressures in a flawed education system. Directed by Mr. Manoj Mishra, the characters assayed by the students came alive on the stage. It was a 90 mins long play, and the audience was left spell bound and could feel the pain of the protagonist. In addressing a hard- hitting and socially relevant theme, the students demonstrated commendable maturity—those on stage through their performances, and those in the audience through their attentive engagement. The transitions between scenes of the past and the present were seamless, and the use of props, costumes, and background music added depth to the storytelling. The Principal Mr. Ajay Singh commended the efforts of the students, staff and teachers involved with the play. He said that such plays not only entertain, but also inspire and uplift while showing mirror to the society. He drew a comparison between the guru-shishya parampara and the boarding school life.
