Dusshera Celebration

The festival of Dusshera was celebrated with much pomp and splendour at the Fort. The lovely traditional music welcomed the fraternity as they walked into the Oval Field. Students dressed as Lord Ram, Laxman, and Princess Sita as well as the Ravan, along with many other characters from mythology, enchanted all of us with their acting skills through the Ramleela. The celebration started with mahishsura mardini strota. Thereafter, Shri Ram Chandra Kripalu Bhaj Man was mellifluously sung. Sita Svyambar was depicted and the characters, Lav and Kush carried us through the story of Ramayana. The effigy of Ravan was set on fire and the chants echoed through the air.
