Anti Ragging Message
THE SCINDIA SCHOOL IS FIRMLY COMMITTED TO ITS POLICY OF ZERO TOLERANCE TOWARDS RAGGING, BULLYING AND VIOLENCE.

Based on Guidelines laid down by the Supreme Court, The Scindia School has identified following behaviour patterns as acts of Bullying/Ragging in school.  
The following actions will be considered as ragging:
  1. Ordering a younger student to arrange food items, snacks, water in mess during meal-time.
  2. Taking tuck from a younger student or asking a younger student to arrange tuck for seniors.
  3. Ordering a younger student to wake the senior student up.
  4. Getting a younger student to wash clothes, polish shoes, hitting or promoting mass boycott of a student or forcing to complete any assignment.
  5. Any kind of physical abuse or verbal abuse or abuse through mobile, email or any other digital medium.
  6. To force any demonstration of vulgarity, gender insult, community-based jokes/insults.
  7. Provoking enmity between groups/classes.
  8. Creating rules for subjugation or perpetuating violence, obscenity in the name of toughening the students.
AN ACTION NOT MENTIONED ABOVE MAY ALSO BE CONSIDERED AS RAGGING AND DEALT WITH ACCORDINGLY, AT THE DISCRETION OF THE SCHOOL DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE.

ANTI-RAGGING POLICY
NO ACT OF VIOLENCE, WHICH INCLUDES PHYSICAL OR SEXUAL ABUSE, BULLYING OR RAGGING WILL GO UNNOTICED OR UNPUNISHED.

Sexual harassment
Unwarranted touching, sexually motivated words or actions are unwelcome as these can be embarrassing and humiliating. It is part of Sexual harassment, and students are advised to avoid to put a fellow student in such an inappropriate position. It will come under the purview of Bullying and hence punishable.

Kindly note for any New Admission, admission will be withdrawn, if the School finds that he has a history of being involved in ragging or violence. Kindly note an action not mentioned above may be considered ragging if it hurts physically or mentally, the wellbeing of a student or group of students. The Disciplinary committee has the discretion to define it.   There are three important committees to prevent and attend the complaints of the acts of indiscipline in School.
(i) Disciplinary Committee: The Scindia School has an alert and vigilant Disciplinary Committee for Student Affairs, which is responsible for taking disciplinary action against perpetrators of ragging and providing counselling and comfort to the victim. The Committee comprises the Principal, Vice Principal, Deans, House Master of the student, a teacher, a Prefect and a student from Class IX or X.

(ii) Anti-Ragging Squad: This is a 5-member body which consists of representatives from Faculty, Administrative Staff, Security Staff and Matrons. The main objectives of the Anti-Ragging Squad are:
  1. To oversee and pre-empt any possibility of ragging
  2. To conduct surprise visits and inspections in the dormitories and other likely areas where ragging may happen
  3. To inspect any area according to the discretion of the members
  4. To take steps in accordance with the School rules wherever required and to report the same to the Disciplinary Committee or Anti-Ragging Committee without delay


(iii) Anti-Ragging Committee: This body consists of members who are:
  1. Eminent Citizens of Gwalior from various walks of life
  2. Parents' Representative
  3. Alumni Representative
  4. Representatives of School Employees of various categories
  5. Representatives of Students from various age groups

This committee is headed by the Principal.

The Main Objectives of the Anti-Ragging Committee are:
  1. To advise the School on following the systems and organising activities to prevent ragging
  2. To oversee all anti-ragging efforts and their effectiveness
  3. To help the School take action if any complaint regarding ragging is received
